What is acupuncture and what can acupuncture treat?
Acupuncture is a form of treatments used for thousands of years in several cultures in Asia. It involves the stimulation of acupuncture points on the human body using needles. Today, acupuncturists use needles with a diameter similar to human hair, ranging from 0.12mm to 0.30mm. Licensed acupuncturists also use other therapeutic modalities depending on the nature of the condition and the patient's constitution, which could include auricular acupuncture, press-ball therapy, cupping, Gua Sha, Tui Na, bloodletting, moxibustion, as well as TDP heat lamp.
Acupuncture can treat a wide range of ailments, from relieving muscular pain to treating fertility issues as well as mental health issues. Some conditions our acupuncturist has treated include musculoskeletal pain, infertility, skin itching, skin rashes, insomnia, depression, anxiety, digestive disorders, GYN issues, urinary disorders. Acupuncture is also great for de-stressing and boosting the immune system by bringing the human body back to balance.
Services
In this 90-minute session, our practitioner will get to know your health concerns, lifestyle, and goals in a relaxed, one-on-one setting. You can share your story and ask questions. Based on this, a personalized treatment plan is created to support your well-being and help you feel your best. Building this foundation together is key to lasting health and balance.
This session’s acupuncture might be a bit shorter than usual because of the consultation, but don’t worry! To make sure you get the full benefits, future appointments will have longer needle retention times. We’re here to support your wellness every step of the way!
In this 75-minute session, your practitioner will quickly check in with you to see how you have been feeling since your last session followed by acupuncture. Some other modalities that may be used in our acupuncture sessions include TDP heat lamp therapy, cupping, sliding cupping, bloodletting, moxibustion cream warming, Gua Sha (also known as spooning, which is using a blunt-edged tool to scrape against the skin with cream or oil to facilitate blood circulation).
In this 45-minute session, your practitioner will begin by discussing your specific goals and concerns. The treatment will then include either traditional cupping, sliding cupping, or a combination of both. Cupping is highly effective for pain relief and overall wellness, it can be enjoyed as a standalone therapy or combined with an existing acupuncture session for enhanced benefits. Since suitability may vary based on individual constitution and health conditions, we recommend consulting with your practitioner before scheduling your appointment.
